Kari Maloney achieved an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies in 2006. Although she enjoyed studying for a career in the legal field, the law couldn’t conceal her passion for helping adults with intellectual disabilities. Ms. Maloney’s enthusiasm for the field began after a family member diagnosed with Moderate Mental Retardation passed away in 2007. She felt inspired by his lifelong excitement to be a part of his community and his desire to have the opportunity at real employment. Shortly after, she began working at a local provider agency in 2008, where she realized this field would become her home.
In 2010, Ms. Maloney transitioned as an Independent Support Coordinator at The Arc Hamilton County. She feels fortunate to have the opportunity to provide her commitment of support to each individual she serves.
